September Membership Drive is Underway!

The Friends of the Carol Stream Public Library have launched a membership drive this month and we hope that you will consider joining our organization or renewing your member status for another year.  You can join the Friends for as little as $5 a year at the "Page Turner" level, or you can join at one of the higher levels and enjoy the additional benefits that come with each level of participation. Pick up a copy of the new member brochure the next time you visit the library to see descriptions of all member benefits as well as information about the mission of the Friends.


As an added incentive during this September membership drive, all people who join the Friends by the end of September will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card from Barnes and Noble. It's a great way to support the programs and services offered by our library with a chance to win a gift card that would allow you to add a new book or two to your personal collection.

Make a Halloween Pumpkin Hanging

Get a start on your Halloween decorating by making an 8-by-6-inch wooden pumpkin hanging during a special event sponsored by the Friends of the Carol Stream Public Library. A representative from Banbury Fair in Bartlett will provide the materials and lead participants through the construction steps. The cost of the program will be $5 per person and registration is required, but admission will be free for members of the Friends.
